"No! I Won't and You Can't Make Me!!" - Effectively Handling Power Struggles
“NO I won’t and you can’t make me!” – sound familiar? Bedtime, mealtime, mornings – these can be some of the most challenging times and parents just want their children to listen. In this workshop parents will be given countless powerful and effective parenting tips, tools and techniques to get them the results they want.  Parents will learn how to recognize and disengage from a power struggle and what to do to lessen them in the future. An eye opening, informative workshop on building cooperation without the yelling, threatening, bribing and nagging.

"Becoming Mom and Dad" - Parenting 101 for Pregnant and New Parents
You've taken a childbirth class, spent hours creating the perfect nursery and feel confident you'll know how to change a diaper (maybe...). But have you thought about how you're going to parent? How will you handle tantrums, set limits and raise a responsible child? Called a "parenting pre-requisite for all new and expecting parents", this 2 hour fun and thought-provoking workshop will challenge pregnant and new parents to begin thinking about how they are going to parent and what kind of parents they will be.  Emphasis will be on the importance of parenting and how it affects a child’s self-esteem, success, motivation, and over-all wellbeing. Topics will include : When to begin disciplining, how to parent as a team, why structure and consistency are crucial and what the results are of punishment, praise and permissiveness. Start off on the right foot! - educate and empower yourself NOW before the challenges begin!

“Tears, Tantrums and Toddlers, Oh My!” - Adventurer's Guide to the Toddler Years

Ah, the age of independence! Parents will be given lots of useful development information to help them navigate this often challenging time. You will learn why your children behave the way they do and how you may be unknowingly reinforcing this behavior; as well as, how to minimize the hassles, tantrums and tears and respond effectively vs. reacting emotionally.     A great workshop for all parents of children 18 months to 4 years old!    

"Pleeeease STOP Fighting!!!"- Siblings Without Rivalry
Is your children’s fighting disrupting your family? Do you think it’s just inevitable? There CAN be peace. In this workshop parents will learn hands on, practical skills to replace fighting with cooperation and negotiation.  They will also learn the #1 reason why children fight and how they may be unknowingly encouraging more squabbles!  Come learn how to end the fighting and create an encouraging family! (This is an excellent workshop for parents who just had baby number two – learn how to avoid the conflict before it starts.)

“Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails” - Survivors Guide to Raising Boys
Are you sometimes befuddled, bewildered or frustrated by your boy’s behavior? Taught by a mom of 4 boys, this workshop is a MUST for all parents of boys! You will receive useful developmental information and hear alarming statistics that will make you want to start paying special attention to how you parent, respond to and raise your boys. Parents will also learn how to avoid power struggles, motivate, and teach responsibility and compassion to their boys. Teachers, grandparents, caregivers and counselors are also encouraged to attend.

This special 'Mom's only' talk is designed to be a safe, supportive opportunity for mothers of all walks of life and at all stages of motherhood, to come together and talk about what it means to be a mom. What stresses, pleasures, challenges, fears and dreams do we all experience and how best to navigate this often thankless, yet incredibly rewarding, experience. Topics such as minimizing stress and guilt, balancing love and discipline, balancing work and family, and how to live your best life - while being a mom, will all be covered. Bring a girlfriend, bring your own mom, and come rediscover the joy of motherhood!

Dad's Guide to Great Parenting:
Today's dads are more involved and active in their children's lives than ever before, yet many dads feel ineffective and ill-equipped in their parenting. This special 'Dad's only' workshop celebrates fatherhood and explores such topics as: how to get your kids to listen to you the first time, keys to being firm and kind, balancing work and family, how to have more fun and less yelling and lots of great parenting tips and tools guaranteed to have dad well on his way to being honored 'Father of the Year!'. A fun and informative night for Dads of toddlers to teens. The class is co-taught by a father of 4 and will include pizza and refreshments.

Consequences that Work- Introduces the concepts of natural and logical consequences and how parents/teachers can effectively use them.

Effective Parent/Child (Teacher/Child) Communication-Introduce the concepts of listening, GEMS, handling feelings and conflict resolution.

Getting in Step with Step-Parenting- Learn how to work cooperatively with your ex and peacefully blend families

Handling Aggressive Children in the Classroom, Birth through Six- Explore developmental and learned aspects of aggression and 15 actions you can teach to correct this behavior.

“If you don’t Stop Crying…!” How to handle Children’s Feelings-Show the effects of feeling stoppers and feeling encouragers and how to work with children’s feelings in each developmental stage.

Tame those Tantrums- Teach the concept of how less power means more. Teach how to diagnose tantrums and prevent them.

Teaching Children Self Control-Within developmental guidelines, show how it is the parents’/teachers’ job to assist the child in learning how to control and appropriately express their feelings and desires.

Tell Them What To Do, Not What To Don’t- Teach how a small shift in speech can create more cooperation, more responsible children.

Creating Teamwork- Teach underlying concepts of teamwork and how to make it happen at home and work.

Resolving Conflicts- Demonstrate the power of conflict resolution and negotiating to a win-win.
